processing prtsc

one more picture of what i finaly manage to script in processing. it's a part of wall, orange areas are windows.

sketches

here are some sketches of sectons, it should be easyer to understand with.

interspersed surfaces

hey, here is a picture of a model i made to illustrate my last researches. always using sequences, i am on truying to combine two of them to design schematis wall sections.

undulating surface

always using the same sequence, i tried to create what could become a facade.

tortuous faults

second thing i tried to do, could be an islet or a floor...

funny bricks

hey, here is one of the things i worked about always using the sequences i defined.

l systems definition

yo, i just forgot to give what could be a definition of l systems...

"an l system is a formal grammar most famously used to model the growth processes of plant development, though able to model the morphology of a variety of organisms. l systems can also be used to generate self-similar fractals such as iterated function systems..."
source : wikipedia

thanks michael hansmeyer

michael hansmeyer uses l systems growth processes for architectural design, just have a look on his web site, realy nice...

thanks astrid lindenmayer

so much f**king things to do but i finaly manage to find few houres to work about our 5# assignement. my l modules became l systems and using the course reader p236 and web sites i'm on trying to unterstand first of all how it work and how it could help me for the studio.

janga tower

yo, just find there what an example of could a tower build with the floors i defined looking like.

sequences defenition

using the shaps i defined, i tried to find a representative sample of sequences which could be used to buid my slabs. then i attributed hich sequence a code to be able to sort them.

taxonomie style

hi there, steel working with l modules i tried to define slabs shape using modular transformations.

20081013

l islet

here is one more picture of the same configuration.

l modules aggregation

hey there, here is a picture i've made for the third assignement. stacking l modules, i tried to create a map as an aggregation of towers. one more time, there's a lot of randomness in my script...

the logic of the form

we worked with olivier.d and osamu together about our first studio exercise. we tried to understand and communicate the others how important it is to choose good variables to be abble to create nice and powerful scripts. we used the strata tower (asymptote architects) as example.
here is a modelling oliver.d's made.

from ubiquitous computing to human context

hi, just have a look on that.
